I decided to use this product because my teeth had started to get noticable yellowing. The directions state to use 2x daily for 2-3 weeks. I wanted to get the full benefit, so I used it for the whole three weeks. Unfortunately I was too lazy to take a "before" photo, but when I look at my teeth, to me they're noticably less yellow. Not enough to make anybody else notice, but enough to where I know it's slightly lighter. I don't think they look as yellow, so for that, I'm satisfied. This is the first time I've used toothpowder and I find that I prefer it to toothpastes, because it doesn't leave an aftertaste or dry out my mouth--I can drink orange juice after brushing with this :) There will be a slight minty taste, but not to where you notice it but feel it. I don't mind the taste, it's a little salty and it foams up a bit because of the peroxide to clean your teeth. My boyfriend HATED this, though, said it tasted god awful. I guess you'll just have to try it to see if you'll like it. For a very mild whitening, this is okay. I'm planning on trying Paula Begoun's tooth whitener next time around. I can't complain with this product, it's just a toothpaste, after all...so I guess I don't know why I expected my teeth to be gleaming white? I suppose it's a good low-cost fix. **I also noticed that the one area of my teeth that gets the most plaque buildup has NONE since I'd been using this. Dentists would think I never flossed there even though I do it daily, so that was probably the biggest benefit for me.
